GD-Comics and Illustration
Beatrice Maria Galli.

I was born in Palermo in the spring, on 15 May 2001, and since I was a child it was impossible not to catch me covering sheets of paper with coloured crayons and dried-out felt-tip pens, letting lines and colours come to life. As I grew up, I realised that drawing had never been merely something to do on gloomy days or a way to kill boredom during afternoon lessons, but rather my path towards the future. I attended Art High School in my hometown and I am now in my third year of studies at RUFA, in the Graphic design-Comics and Illustration programme.
Drawing has become my mother tongue and enjoying stories my favourite hobby. Day after day I try to push myself further in order to build my own voice, hoping to be able to tell my story in the way I want.

Questo libro non si legge!

Ever since I was a child, fairy tales have always exerted a strong fascination on me, one that over the years has continued to reappear in my everyday life. “Questo libro non si legge!” was born from my fascination with fairy tales and from the desire to bring to life the stories that have inhabited my memories for so long and that I hope may remain in the
memories of many others. The project consists of creating a small collection of silent comic stories based on traditional fairy tales from around the world, using a simple and easily readable graphic synthesis and a limited but vibrant colour palette, so as never to tire the eyes of young readers.
