My name is Carmine Lautieri. I was born on 24 June 1996 in Capua. I grew up in my small town in the province of Caserta, between kicking a football around and going on adventures with my friends. At the age of nine I saw Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill for the first time and was so fascinated by it that something sparked inside me, a flame that remained faint for years but always allowed me to look beyond whenever I watched a film. That spark became a fire of curiosity! Every time I watched a film, I immediately began an unstoppable search into the director, the cast and the backstage. At the age of 12 I picked up a very old JVC mini VHS camera and went around filming situations and improvised scenes with my friends. Over the years I realised that this flame of mine had to be fuelled so that it would not go out! So, after high school, I enrolled at RUFA. Here I met lecturers, colleagues and wonderful people who have made me what I am today, and whom I thank for enriching me on a human level and training me professionally.
