Flavia was born in Rome in February 1997.
From an early age, thanks to numerous trips around the world, she developed a desire for discovery. Secretly using her father’s equipment, she began to nurture within herself the desire to learn as much as possible about photography. After completing her scientific studies, she attended one of Italy’s leading Design universities, Rome University of Fine Arts. During her first academic programme, she had the opportunity to broaden her knowledge of Graphic Design as much as possible, while always keeping her innate photographic talent alive. This led her to create an innovative thesis: at the end of a journey through India and Nepal, she found the inspiration to innovate and revolutionise the classic travel guide. After graduating with top marks, she moved to London, England, to attend one of the world’s leading universities, the University of the Arts London.
Non la solita India, non il solito Nepal
Always a mysterious place and a destination for journeys in search of somewhere else, the East has inspired artists, writers,musicians and thousands of young people who have sought, far from home, a different dimension of existence. India and Nepal, in particular, with their ancient history and important
religious and philosophical traditions, have attracted and continue to attract thousands of visitors every year. Contact with these worlds is often filtered through clichés that are inevitably the product of our Orientalism.
This thesis presents a less exotic reality and therefore one capable of surprising a traveller free from prejudice.
