Francesca Fiore was born in Vico Equense (Naples) in 1996.
After completing scientific high school, she graduated in February 2019, with top marks, in Photography from Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) in Rome.
Together with some of her classmates, she founded “Ammodo Studio”, a young photographic collective born from the synergy of seven different and personal perspectives, with which she works for various communication agencies. She works as a photographer in the commercial field and as a post-producer; she also explores the use of 3D and photo compositing. Her artistic research aims to combine photography with specific printing techniques in order to give physical substance to images through experimentation and the use of plastic materials, including wood, concrete and resin. In her work, she seeks to translate the extremely rich yet, at the same time, mysterious world of human emotions into dense and meaningful images, a theme to which she dedicated her graduation thesis and on which she continues to experiment using the most modern photographic techniques.
Reazione del vissuto. Come il vissuto influenza la nostra percezione delle rappresentazioni artistiche
The installation Reazione del vissuto aims to demonstrate that an art object always elicits a different reaction in the observer, depending both on the characteristics of the object and on its impact on the viewer’s perception, according to their emotional state and life experiences. To demonstrate this thesis, fifty elderly people between the ages of 75 and 100 were shown the same work, and their reactions were incorporated into the final installation.
The work is created in a large dark room, where the observer witnesses the simultaneous viewing of 4 different slow-motion projections depicting the faces of the interviewees, also placed in contrast through the overlapping of their voices, which echo at a different rhythm from the flow of the images.
