Gianluca Ricco

Favouring the languages of sculpture and installation, my research investigates the physical and poetic properties of materials and everyday objects, exploring their fragility both as an emotional characteristic and as a physical property of matter. The inevitability of the passage of time is a recurring element in my work, which celebrates its aesthetic potential through a series of physical processes or interactions with the viewer. My works aspire to their own annihilation.
