My work brings to the canvas scenarios that move between imagination and memory. The views I present are conceived through a convergence, a layering, of images generated by memory and by matter itself. I investigate a total and gestural form of painting that evokes and brings to light a tangle of tensions and sensations that are both necessary and chaotic in order to produce and solidify “fractures”. Oscillating between the recognisable and the unknown, I emphasise the ambiguity of human identity, confused within the relationship between the subjectivity of the unconscious and the external world.
