Nicola Pugliese, whose passion for Art and drawing has led him to a career rich in professional achievements. After obtaining his Art High School diploma specialising in restoration, he attended the First-Level Academic Programme in Graphic Design at the RUFA Academy of Fine Arts. These years of training and study fascinated him to such an extent that he decided to continue and deepen his education with the Second-Level Academic Programme in Visual and Innovation Design. This training immediately enabled him to work as an Advertising Graphic Designer for various companies. He later began a freelance career in a coworking studio, where he created graphic design projects for numerous clients. Completing his professional journey is his position as a Lecturer in Art History, a profession through which he seeks to pass his passion on to students. He says that he attended RUFA with great enthusiasm, where he had the opportunity to engage positively both with the subjects he studied and with the team of lecturers, who always believed in him, motivating and inspiring him and leaving an indelible mark.

Nicola Pugliese’s project analyses the concept of the image, focusing on moving images. To explore this concept, he decided to tell the story of the world through its most beautiful cities, representing them and showing their main monuments on paper and fabric supports, through a product line ranging from the simple handkerchief to the larger scarf, or on casual garments such as a T-Shirt or any other item of clothing. The technique used involves folding the fabric or paper support back on itself. The images were digitised in order to work at a higher resolution.
The project can still be considered to be in a phase of development and innovation, with the potential to become the foundation of a broader creative project. This distinctive feature demonstrated the student’s ability to create a marketable product capable of appealing to the public.
