Sofia Sotto Corona

My research is deeply existential and tends to focus on the most intimate aspects and moments of the human being, from the personal to the universal. It is a research that begins with an analysis of reality and seeks to reveal, without any filter, the fragilities hidden behind each of us. I focus above all on those characteristics that seem to make us weak and sentimental – characteristics that we often tend to veil, to hide. The aim is to bring the viewer onto an introspective level. The work seeks closeness with the viewer and never wants to be too distant from what they themselves are constantly immersed in. I mainly use audiovisual tools and installations.
