Valentina Marchiò, born in 1993, is a young Visual Designer who specialised in Visual and Innovation Design at RUFA in 2017. Her passion for graphic design led her to explore design across all its disciplines, showing a strong inclination towards Brand Design, typography and User Experience. Since 2016 she has collaborated professionally with Rome-based visual communication studios such as 5A Design, Intorno Design and Vertigo Design, working on numerous projects for national institutions and companies. She currently works as a Graphic Designer and UI/UX Designer at the technology solutions company Manet Mobile. With an analytical and pragmatic, people-oriented approach to projects, she works on the on/offline communication of corporate brand identities, as well as User Experience and the design of graphic interfaces for mobile and desktop.

The aim of this thesis is to design a service that helps people find an available parking space in the city of Rome. A metropolis that suffers from a lack of adequate infrastructure, yet is constantly growing, ranking third among metropolitan areas worldwide in terms of the number of vehicles in circulation: 800 cars for every 1000 people. Speeding up daily travel and ensuring that parking is no longer a source of concern therefore becomes a fundamental need for all residents of the Capital.
Starting from the visual identity of the system, the idea is also to provide the basis for the creation of a macrosystem for managing on-street parking spaces and other future developments related to mobility.
