Playing Memories, two weeks for a dream, presented at the 77th edition of the Prix Italia, arrives on RaiPlay from November 5, 2025.
An innovative and visionary journey retracing the creative adventures of one hundred and twenty young artists, most of them coming from the best higher education institutes in the field of artistic and musical disciplines in Italy, while twenty-four others come from all over the world. Playing Memories, premiered in Naples on October 21, 2025, during the 77th edition of the Prix Italia – the international competition for broadcasters organized by Rai, will be available on RaiPlay from November 5.
The docuseries, characterized by the discreet and respectful narration of Marco Liorni, was created with the aim of giving space to art in all its forms – dance, music, visual arts, performing arts, sculpture, painting, and photography – encouraging participants to engage in a genuine intercultural exchange through eight artistic residencies across Italy and sixteen live performances around the world.
Each group is made up of fifteen performers from various disciplines, selected among the most prestigious national and international higher education institutes in the field of artistic and musical studies. The common thread of all the performances is a repertoire composed of both traditional and contemporary pieces of Italian music, of any genre, published and unpublished. The show is staged twice: the first time in the host city on the final day of the artistic residency, and the second time abroad. Among the guests appearing in the episodes are Diana Del Bufalo, Ditonellapiaga, Michele Bravi, Margherita Vicario, Dardust, Roy Paci, Mirkoeilcane, and Peppe Vessicchio.
Playing Memories is a Rai Digital and Transmedia Content production, directed by Marcello Ciannamea, conceived by Stefano Mastruzzi, directed by Claudio Ammendola, written by Roberto Giglio and Paolo Logli, produced by Saint Louis College of Music, and funded by the PNRR.
The docuseries was created in partnership with RUFA, the Alfredo Casella Conservatory of L’Aquila, the Teatro alla Scala Academy Foundation, and ISIA (Higher Institute for Artistic Industries in Rome).
