Open Call for RUFA Students – Applications open until June 30
RUFA is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Live Artena Association for the XIII Edition of Live Artena – Festival of the Arts 2025, which will take place in the evocative setting of Artena on July 18, 19, 25, and 26, 2025.
An open call is currently active for emerging young artists who are invited to submit their works to be exhibited during the festival.
Thanks to the partnership with RUFA, the Festival will select three RUFA students who will have the opportunity to exhibit self-produced works or installations within the festival’s spaces, becoming part of a multidisciplinary and immersive artistic network.
2025 Theme: Affectivity
“How often have we been overwhelmed by an emotion we couldn’t manage?”
The theme for this edition is a profound invitation to explore the human emotional universe. Affectivity is not merely a sweet or harmonious feeling, but a constant tension between vulnerability and strength, chaos and awareness. Emotions – even the uncomfortable ones – are what make us fully human. They should not be suppressed, but embraced in all their complexity.
Through installations, music, imagery, sound, and performance, the Festival offers a space to reflect, feel, and share the multitude of emotions that reside within us. Each artistic gesture becomes an invitation to feel without restraint, to dive into the raw beauty of human sensitivity.
How to Apply
The call is open to students and young artists working in painting, illustration, photography, and visual arts in general. To participate, it is necessary to fill out the application form and send it no later than June 30, 2025. The submitted work must be consistent with the theme of the XIII Edition of Live Artena 2025. The project will be included in the festival’s official setup.
Award
During the festival evenings, a contest will be held among all exhibited works.
Only one project will be awarded, receiving a special prize offered directly by the Live Artena Association.
