On Tuesday 6 May, the RUFA Campus in Milan opens its doors to one of the most iconic Italian street artists: Riccardo Bianchi, known as Nemo’s. An intense and engaging Talk, offering a deep dive into the heart of his artistic and human journey.
The talk is curated by Fabrizio Pizzuto and will be held in Italian.
Tuesday 6 May 2025 at 11:00 in Aula Magna (M19) – Piazzale Lugano, 19 – Milan.
A visionary artist, illustrator and muralist, Nemo’s has made human storytelling the beating heart of his work. His artworks are born in forgotten places – abandoned factories, deserted spaces, suburban neighbourhoods – and portray the fragility of the human being, often naked and defenceless, at the mercy of their own contradictions. His style, influenced by comics, anatomical drawings, and dystopian sci-fi, is both distinctive and deeply expressive.
Inspired by “Little Nemo in Slumberland”, Nemo’s began painting on walls in 2002. Since then, he has never stopped, bringing his emblematic figures to Latin America, the United States, India, Africa, and Europe – often as part of artistic projects with marginalised communities, in prisons, and urban outskirts. During the talk, curated by Nemo’s himself, he will explore themes such as identity, belonging, marginalisation, as well as public art, urban planning, and the role of the contemporary artist in narrating – and at times challenging – urban space. A valuable opportunity to reflect on how art can influence the social and cultural fabric of our cities.
Not just a talk, but a journey into the creative universe of an artist who has turned walls into pages and streets into stories. The invitation is open to everyone: students, lecturers, art lovers, and anyone looking for inspiration.
Registration opens on Monday 28 April 2025.
