Le Moscerine: Creativity, Cinema and Visual Education for Young Children

Le Moscerine, an organisation that has long been committed to promoting children’s creativity, returns this year with a rich programme of events as part of the Moscerine Film Festival 2025. The association has always focused on developing the expressive potential of girls and boys through play-based educational activities that stimulate motor, cognitive, and emotional development.

At the heart of Le Moscerine’s mission is a deep attention to individual creativity, so that this potential can be discovered, nurtured, and consciously used throughout the growth journey. Since 2014, the organisation has focused its efforts on visual education, offering workshops and courses in photography, filmmaking, set design, and costume design, held in schools, public spaces, festivals, and at the association’s own Children’s Art Academy.

The Moscerine Film Festival 2025 opened on 10 April with a press conference at Sala Laudato Sì, followed by a packed programme of school activities, screenings, workshops, and meetings running through to 11 May, involving students, industry professionals, and local organisations.

Highlights include:

  • Educational workshops in schools and presentations of projects from “A scuola con Le Moscerine”

  • Screenings of short films created by young directors and creative teams

  • Round tables, pitching sessions, and networking opportunities between schools, production companies, and film professionals

  • Award evenings and celebrations of the works produced by the participants

  • Activities for parents and children, including a media education workshop and the “Cinema in Culla” film series

An unmissable opportunity to discover how cinema can become a powerful tool for growth, participation.
