La Città Esposta – RUFA Exhibition at La Pelanda, Mattatoio

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the event “La città esposta – Ipotesi di mostre nel territorio di Roma,” the exhibition project curated by RUFA students at La Pelanda, a result of the collaboration between Azienda Speciale Palaexpo and RUFA.

Opening: Friday, June 13th at 4:00 PM – La Pelanda, Mattatoio | Piazza Orazio Giustiniani, 4.
Free entry until seats are filled.

The initiative, curated by professors Lorenzo Benedetti and Fabrizio Pizzuto, involves students from the RUFA Master’s program in Art Curating and Management. Throughout the academic year, the students have explored new ways of conceptualizing exhibitions by mapping unconventional spaces within the urban territory of Rome. The goal is to enhance creativity as a tool for the revitalization of public and private places not traditionally dedicated to contemporary art.

The exhibition of the projects will take place on a dedicated day, during which the sixteen projects developed by the students will be presented to the public through interviews and audiovisual material. The event will also have a performative character, offering moments of dialogue between students, professors, and the audience.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a mini-publication that, in addition to being a catalog, will serve as a practical guide for those wishing to explore these new exhibition possibilities. The publication will include maps, technical sheets, photographic documentation, and curatorial proposals.

Art Curating Projects: Aleksandra Banis, Maria Francisca Santos Andrade, Therese O’Toole, Alexandra Sophia Park, Margherita Gemma Data, Yann Vissers, Vasilisa Ponomareva, Asiia Gabdullina, Cierra Smith, Tamara Angyal, Celie Hekkert, Berk Sarigollu, Camilla Jensen, Irina Babayan, Miriam Azeb Appetito, Emma McMullin.
