Salento-born artist and founder of ARCANA Secret Studio.
Vincenzo Verdesca is a multidisciplinary artist who has found in fashion a mediumistic language capable of translating his poetic visions into matter, form, and rituality. His research weaves together art, couture, theatre, and memory, transforming each garment into a narrative object imbued with symbols, evocations, and imaginative possibilities.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, the Antwerp Academy, he explored multiple creative contexts: from theatrical tailoring to performance, from cabaret to video art. This cross-pollination has shaped a philosophy of couture as a tool for historical storytelling, analysis of the past, and a way of sensitizing the present toward the future.
Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous theatres and performance spaces, including:
Globe Theatre, Teatro Brancaccio, Teatro Parioli, Salone Margherita, Teatro Vittoria, Teatro India, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Teatro Pim Off, Teatro No’hma and many others.
Among the names he has worked with:
Gigi Proietti and family, Matilde Brandi, Giancarlo Nicoletti, Dante Antonelli, Riccardo Buscarini.
In cinema, he contributed to the films Big and Vetro, curating sartorial and styling elements.
He has also collaborated with exclusive projects such as Il Ballo del Doge, TEROTECNA for Dior.
ARCANA Secret Studio
In 2023 he founded ARCANA Secret Studio, an artistic and sartorial laboratory combining esoteric research, couture, performance and installation.
Located in a former brutalist workshop in San Lorenzo (Rome), Arcana quickly established itself as a space of experimental creation, where fashion meets ritual, occult imagination and collective memory.
