From 17 to 23 January 2026, students of the BA in Sustainable Fashion Design at RUFA will fly to Paris for an immersive six-day tour in the city where fashion was born.
It will be a new, multifaceted experience rich in stimuli, fully aligned with the 360-degree systemic approach of RUFA’s Bachelor’s programme. Students will move through art, fashion, and culture, absorbing inspiration from the most diverse places: from the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa to the flea market of Porte de Vanves, and on to the Pinault Collection housed at the Bourse de Commerce.
They will visit iconic Maisons such as Roger Vivier and explore their archives, while also engaging in scouting for conscious brands during the fashion fair Who’s Next. They will map the city’s fashion landscape, learning to recognise the differences between a luxury department store like Le Bon Marché, a concept store such as Merci, and the temple of vintage streetwear, Kiliwatch. They will visit hidden ateliers, where couture artisans will reveal the techniques that make them indispensable to Parisian haute couture houses. They will experience the essence of Parisian Chic by visiting boutiques and design studios of the brands that best embody it, including the style office of Antik Batik, a pioneer of sustainable fashion. This visit will offer them the opportunity to discover the creative process and the central role of sustainability within the fashion industry. They will return exhausted, but with eyes, minds, and spirits filled with creativity and beauty.
The initiative – organised with the support of the programme coordinator Guenda Cermel and lecturer Agnese Angelini – follows the path of the international experiences that have enriched RUFA’s educational offer over the years, through study trips that have allowed students to engage with creative and professional realities in cities such as London, New York, Amsterdam, and Zurich. With AUTour Paris, the Sustainable Fashion Design course also inaugurates a structured pathway of advanced training abroad.
