What Moves You – The Art of Movement, Creation, and Innovation

“What Moves You”: the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme of the Body Sound DiVision Consortium in Rome.

On Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM, the Teatro Ruskaja of the Accademia Nazionale di Danza will host the final public performance of “What Moves You”, an international artistic experience intertwining dance, live music and visual arts, developed through a week of research and European collaboration.

The event marks the conclusion of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) promoted by the Body Sound DiVision Erasmus+ Consortium (BSdV), conceived as a multidisciplinary artistic residency bringing together languages, cultures and contemporary artistic practices.

From February 9 to 14, 2026, the Teatro Ruskaja of the Accademia Nazionale di Danza becomes a meeting place for students and faculty from different European countries, representing the Consortium’s Erasmus partner institutions: Latvian Academy of Culture in Riga, Tallinn University – Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM) in Tallinn, JAM MUSIC LAB Private University for Jazz and Popular Music in Vienna, and Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania, alongside talents from the institutions participating in Body Sound DiVision: RUFA, Saint Louis Music College of Music, Accademia Nazionale di Danza and ISIA Roma Design.

A European project between artistic research and intercultural dialogue

“What Moves You” offers an intensive creative and educational programme inviting young artists to reflect on the deep motivations that generate action, movement and expression. The intercultural dimension emerges through the encounter of different disciplines and sensibilities, in an ongoing dialogue between body and sound.

The artistic work unfolds within the context of the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis, a symbolic figure of expressive freedom and experimentation. His music becomes the starting point for a contemporary reflection on the relationship between sound, body and emotion.

The educational and artistic programme was guided by the tutors Mario Piazza (Accademia Nazionale di Danza), Giovanni Candia (Saint Louis Music College of Music), for an introductory lecture on Miles Davis and student mentoring, Giacomo Fabbri (ISIA Roma Design), for the multimedia design component, and Marta Jovanovic (RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts), responsible for the non-digital scenic elements, including visual and installation aspects and costumes.

Follow the official Body Sound DiVision channels to stay updated on the outcomes of this artistic collaboration. The final performance will be accessible by invitation.
