RUFA at Rome Fashion Path: between historical memory and a sustainable future

In conjunction with Rome Fashion Path, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, RUFA opens the doors of its Via Giuseppe Libetta campus for an event dedicated to textiles and their many expressions, from archival preservation to circular fashion.
This is not just an exhibition, but an interactive experience where historical heritage meets the environmental commitment of our students.

1. An exclusive preview: the Franco Annoni Textile Archive
We are proud to present a teaser of the valuable Franco Annoni Textile Archive, recently featured in the prestigious publication “Trame. Italian textiles in museums and fashion archives”.

While awaiting the official completion of the project, the RUFA Library will host a preview: a selection of some of the archive’s most iconic folders will be available for consultation, together with an advance copy of the TRAME volume. This is a rare opportunity to experience firsthand the history of Italian craftsmanship and discover the tactile core of our academy.

2. Vintage Archive G20: over 200 garments to discover
The journey continues in classroom G20, which for the occasion will unveil our new collection of over 200 vintage garments. This archive is not just a collection of clothes, but a living educational resource designed to inspire new generations of designers through the study of cuts, materials, and structures that have shaped 20th-century fashion.

3. Fashion for Forests: the Charity Market
The beating heart of the event will be our special Charity Market, organized in collaboration with Fondazione Sylva, a partner committed to the reforestation of Salento.

The initiative works as an innovative “charity swap party”:
What you’ll find: A curated selection of garments from our vintage stock and original creations provided by our students.

How to participate:
Items will not have a fixed price, but can be selected in exchange for a free donation made directly to Fondazione Sylva.
Styling tips: throughout the event, a team of RUFA student stylists will be available to visitors, offering advice on how to reinterpret the selected pieces, combining contemporary taste with a reuse philosophy.

“Take a garment, fund a forest”: a concrete gesture to support the environment through the culture of fashion.
