Between body, sound and image

In TRACES ON WATER, artist and exhibition designer Ada Uygan constructs a transdisciplinary environment in which perception emerges as a threshold between body, sound, and image.

Presented at RUFA Space, the project draws upon Anatolian artistic traditions, archaeological layers, and ritual forms of knowledge, transforming them into the material of a contemporary spatial and sensory composition. These references are reconfigured within an experiential field shaped by movement, mediation, and embodied perception.

At the heart of the exhibition is an interactive visual system activated through motion sensing and bodily gestures, generating fluid image formations inspired by the logic of Ebru, the traditional Anatolian art of paper marbling.

Through the convergence of image, sound, and interaction, TRACES ON WATER reflects on cultural heritage as a living and constantly evolving condition, suspended between memory, technology, and perception.

Exhibition Production Support: Maria Gavrilova.
