Ambientale Art Festival

Ambientale Art Festival 2025

On Saturday, July 5, the Parco della Caffarella will once again set the stage for the highly anticipated second edition of the Environmental Art Festival: a celebration of art and culture that brings together the RUFA community – both Italian and international – in a collective experience of creativity and sharing.

Saturday, July 5, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM | Parco della Caffarella, Rome (Largo Pietro Tacchi Venturi) | Free admission, open to the public.
Ambientale was created with the aim of fostering ecological awareness through the use of sustainable materials and environmentally conscious artistic practices. The festival features a series of site-specific art installations, conceived in direct dialogue with the park and its landscape. The project is the result of collaboration among lecturers, students, and alumni from the Visual Arts (Painting and Sculpture), Art Curating & Management, and Design Management programs at RUFA.

With the patronage of the Municipality of Rome – District VII, the support of R5, and in collaboration with Nativa, the festival seeks to build a bridge between art and nature. The unique and historic setting of the Parco della Caffarella offers the perfect opportunity to experience an evening of creativity, celebrating the power of art to shift perspectives and inspire care for our planet.

This edition of the Environmental Festival is shaped by the theme “Geographies of Becoming” – an invitation to look beyond the surface and rediscover what has been forgotten or discarded, both in the natural world and in personal experience. Many of the artworks incorporate found and repurposed objects, each carrying its own past and story, transformed by the artists into something new. In conversation with nature and its cycles of decay and renewal, the festival opens a space for reflection on new ways of relating to our environment.

The exhibiting artists explore their own individuality within both natural and social landscapes. This journey of rediscovery invites them to engage with forgotten or hidden aspects of the self. The dialogue with natural cycles of change, loss, and renewal gives rise to personal narratives of healing and transformation, resonating with our shared responsibility to shape and care for the world we inhabit. Here, the environment becomes both mirror and guide in an ongoing process of evolution.
