Fashion Persona – Movie Night & Popcorn

An evening of cinema, fashion, and sustainability.
RUFA students from the Sustainable Fashion Design course invite you to experience FASHION PERSONA – Movie Night & Popcorn, a multimedia event that reflects on the cultural, social, and environmental impact of contemporary fashion.

June 18, 7:30 PM – RUFA Campus, via Libetta 7. Free admission.

The screening of the short fashion movie FASHION PERSONA is the result of a transdisciplinary collaboration between students from different departments: Sustainable Fashion Design, Cinema and Film Arts, Computer Animation and Visual Effects. A powerful and visual narrative that presents a new inspirational figure: the Fashion Persona, a conscious alternative to the consumerism of the Fashion Victim and the aggression of the Fashion Tormentator.
An invitation to view fashion as a space for freedom, creativity, and connection, not as an object to be consumed.

The garments presented in the short film are the result of the work of Mattia Siciliano, Ilenia Genchi, Rosita Pignataro, Erika Tripoli, Margherita Beritognolo, Ayza Baiyshbekova, Sezim Keneshbekova, Antonio Tedeschi, Francesco Caruccio, Giulia De Luca, and Gabriele Salzone.

On display: MANIFESTO BLANCO

During the event, the MANIFESTO BLANCO exhibition will also be open, showcasing the manifesto outfits created by first-year students of Sustainable Fashion Design.
Each garment is a statement of intent: one piece designed from scratch, one upcycled, and one knitwear element. All inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals and made with careful attention to materials, waste, sizes, and details.

The inspiration comes from Lucio Fontana’s famous Manifesto Blanco and connects ideally to Virgil Abloh’s vision, for a fashion that lives in the present and engages with the great global challenges.

A unique course in Italy – Sustainable Fashion Design

The RUFA Bachelor’s degree is the first in Italy to offer a transdisciplinary approach based on integral ecology, aiming to rethink the entire fashion system supply chain. It trains designers capable of combining creativity and technical skills with a critical and responsible vision of the industry, promoting inclusion, circularity, and real sustainability.
