The GTA Contest reaches its final stage.
On 5 December 2025, in the prestigious setting of the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, the final event of the international contest “Ordinary is Extraordinary” will take place.
An event that celebrates the journey, research, and results of a project involving students from Italian Academies of Higher Artistic, Musical, and Choreutic Education.
The day will open with an exclusive moment reserved for the finalists of the GTA Contest 2025.
The selected students will take part in a masterclass led by the Artistic Director of the contest, Emanuele Cappelli, and by the President of the Contest, Gabriele Mainetti – Film Director, Screenwriter, Composer and Producer.
The afternoon at MAXXI: talks and discussion
In the afternoon, from 4:30 PM, the MAXXI auditorium will host a series of institutional contributions by Fabio Mongelli, GTA Scientific Coordinator, by Emanuele Cappelli and by the Scientific Representatives of the partner Institutions. This will be followed by a talk by Gabriele Mainetti together with Writer and Journalist Laura Delli Colli.
Awards and exhibition
The day will conclude with the awarding of the 6 winning projects and with the opening, at the MAXXI Corner, of the exhibition showcasing the 48 finalist works, open to the public free of charge until 8 December.
The works presented – spanning audiovisual, performing arts, fashion, design and visual arts – highlight the expressive richness of the new generations and their ability to interpret the theme “Ordinary is Extraordinary” in an original way.
Through these languages, students have reflected on the uniqueness of every individual, transforming everyday normality into an extraordinary story to be told: each moment, each experience, each choice becomes the essence of a deeply personal and, at the same time, universal work.
