After Ancona, Pontedera, Como, and Milan, The AFAM Roadshow – Research. Creativity. Innovation continues its journey in Naples, exploring advanced education, visual culture, and technological innovation. On July 10, it’s time for “Connections · Multiverses and Narratives”, a full day dedicated to the relationship between real and digital worlds, artistic practices, and immersive experimentation. The event takes place at IUAD – Institute of Universal Art and Design, a key institution for creative education in Naples.
Connections is the keyword of the day, evoking an expanding network between physical realities and virtual, parallel, or alternative worlds that require knowledge, interaction, and dialogue to be meaningfully connected. These connections come to life in the multiverse as practices of sociability, inclusion, and experimentation.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Opening, the inaugural ceremony hosted in the IUAD spaces, where the themes and schedule of the day are introduced, preceded by institutional greetings. Welcoming the audience: Michele Lettieri (President of IUAD), Raffaele Fiorentino (Director of the Dept. of Business and Economic Studies, University of Naples Parthenope), Fabio Mongelli (Director of RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts), Costanza Miliani (Acting Director, CNR ISPC).
At 11:15 AM, after the coffee break, the Table Talks begin – invitation-only thematic workshops coordinated by the partners of the AFAM Grand Tour. Held in IUAD classrooms, these discussions focus on multidisciplinary perspectives on Digital Cultural Heritage, exploring immersive storytelling, virtual environments, and sonic cultural heritage. The format includes an introduction, parallel discussion, and collective sharing.
The Genius Academy sessions are lectio magistralis primarily aimed at students interested in the field of Digital Cultural Heritage, but open to all. Participation is free, with mandatory registration via the following links:

In this creative workshop, participants will be invited to design an analogue game using Design Thinking methodologies. It’s an experiment in gamification and creativity, setting human thought against artificial logic to reflect on the relationship between digital tools and the real world.
The exhibited works are open to the public from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
