Support for cultural and creative industries through the enhancement of historical heritage for the territorial development of Havana and Matanzas
Wednesday 12 November 2025, 10:00 a.m. – RUFA, Aula Paolo Rosa, Via Taro 14, Rome
RUFA hosts a meeting dedicated to urban regeneration and the creation of a Creative Zone in the historic centre of Matanzas, as part of the ZONE CREATIVE project, promoted by ARCS Culture Solidali.
The event will feature a Cuban delegation composed of representatives from the Oficina del Conservador, the University of Matanzas, and the project coordination team, engaging in a dialogue with RUFA lecturers and students on the enhancement of cultural heritage as a driver of local development.
The initiative is part of the Local Development Strategy of Matanzas and contributes to strengthening policies for sustainable tourism and the protection of tangible and intangible heritage. Its goal is to promote more efficient resource management and greater integration between local projects and national and international funding.
RUFA lecturers Enrico Parisio, Emanuele Cappelli, Francesca Gollo and Dorotea Ottaviani will take part, contributing on the topics of brand identity, participatory planning, and multimedia design.
RUFA participates in the project with two accompanying actions aimed at creative entrepreneurs:
❯ one dedicated to the design of urban spaces as interactive and participatory systems, culminating in the creation of a multimedia installation;
❯ the other focused on the development of brand identity through a cross-media approach, integrating design, culture and digital technologies to foster the emergence of generative and interactive brands capable of strengthening communication and sustainable territorial development.
