On May 15, 2025, RUFA’s Aula Magna hosted the grand closing event of “Sbagli di Successo”, the contest that celebrates the transformative power of failure.
Thursday 15 May – 6:00 PM – AULA MAGNA | Via Giuseppe Libetta, 7.
The contest, which involved students from Italian high schools, encouraged participants to explore the theme of failure as an integral part of the path to personal and professional growth.
The artists in competition developed projects addressing the topic through art installations, illustrations, videos, performances, and social campaigns, aiming to show how mistakes can be the first step toward innovation and growth.
Talk with Chiara Bacilieri and Official Award Ceremony
The final talk featured a special guest, Chiara Bacilieri, Director of Innovation at Mindwork and lecturer in Consumer Behavior at Università Cattolica of Milan.
Bacilieri, an occupational psychologist and expert in data analysis and neuromarketing, was included by Forbes among the 2022 30 Under 30.
During the event, Chiara explored key topics such as the value of soft skills, inclusive corporate culture, and the importance of failure in the world of work.
During the event, Chiara Bacilieri engaged in conversation with René Angeramo, psychologist-psychotherapist and Head of Counseling and Guidance at RUFA, who led and moderated the talk, and with Tommaso Fagioli, multidisciplinary artist and RUFA lecturer in Digital Cultures.
An open Q&A session with the audience will follow, designed to encourage questions, dialogue and a meaningful exchange of ideas. This was a valuable moment of collective reflection, aimed not only at the young contest participants but also at the RUFA community and external guests, to reflect together on fundamental topics such as failure and its transformative potential.
The highlight of the evening was the official awarding of Emma Cafasi, winner of the contest with her moving video project La fortuna di cadere, which unanimously won over the Jury. Emma received as a prize a €5,000 scholarship to be used for enrollment in a first-level Academic Course in Cinema at RUFA.
The event “Sbagli di Successo,” together with the contest that preceded it, is part of the new format #MindfulRUFA: a series of initiatives promoting psychological well-being, inclusivity, and freedom of expression through meetings, talks, and workshops designed to support students on their personal and creative journey.
Also for this edition, the award was created by a young RUFA artist, Visual Arts student Clarissa Secco. The trophy, symbolically made “upside down,” creatively and originally interprets the theme of the contest, highlighting the value of failure as an integral part of the personal and artistic growth journey.
