The 48H Film Project is back. RUFA is partner again this year!

A directing challenge, in October the 12th Edition of The 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT, the contest for filmmakers 19-20-21 October 2018
For all filmmakers who want to put themselves to the test, entries are open for the XII edition of the international competition “The 48 Hour Film Project”, a challenge for the realization of a short film in just 48 hours, which will be held in Rome on the weekend of October 19-21, included in the programming of the Videocittà project and organized by Le Bestevem.
The initiative is part of the program of Contemporaneamente Roma 2018 promoted by Roma Capitale-Assessorato alla Crescita Culturale and realized in collaboration with SIAE.
The competition involves 140 cities in five continents and sees the Capital as the only Italian stage. The winning film will compete against short films from all over the world at Filmpalooza 2019 where, in addition to the final grand prize, it will also have the opportunity to compete in the Short Film Corner section at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. In addition, this year a novelty, the award to the “Best Debut” for all those who want to get involved for the first time
behind the camera.
Thanks to the partnership with RAI, fifteen short films made during the competition will be broadcast on Rai Movie and RaiPlay! In order to prepare for the event, on October 9 and 10 will be held at the Odeon Multiscreen cinema, free Masterclasses of direction and screenplay, under the guidance of directors Aldo Iuliano and Lorenzo Marinelli, and screenwriter Armando Maria Trotta. An initiative aimed not only at contest participants, but also at all those who want to learn and take their first steps in the world of cinema.
Canon Italia is the official partner of the contest, and has made available to the first 20 teams that will register a model XC 10 camera.
It also reconfirms its participation RUFA as Main Partner of the contest, which will award the coveted “RUFA Special Award”, a cash prize of 1000 euros to the best talent.
Registrations on the contest website will remain open until October 15th but the number of teams admitted is limited and there are still a few rooms offered by Canon.
