ARF! returns to the Città dell’Altra Economia in Testaccio, from 13 to 15 May 2022.
RUFA students in possession of a booklet or membership card will be able to gain free entry to the Festival on Friday 13 May until 3pm.
Reduced admission from 3 p.m. on Friday 13 and on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May.
Three days with big names from the world of Italian and international comics, such as Silvia Ziche, Silver, Horacio Altuna, Paco Roca, Pera Toons, Fumettibrut, Samuel Spano, Werther Dell’Edera, Giacomo Bevilacqua, LRNZ, Zuzu, Kalina Muhova, Enrique Breccia, Otto Schmidt and many others.
Six exclusive exhibitions: Icone (Icons) by Carmine Di Giandomenico – “a giant of the world comics scene” – who signed the manifesto of this Year VIII Edition; Le case di carta (The houses of paper), the great new exhibition that traces the entire artistic path of Paco Roca unanimously considered by critics and the public “the greatest exponent of contemporary Spanish comics”, produced in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute in Rome and the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture; 30 years of COMIX, a milestone of Italian Comics, with drawings, words, signs & drawings by Bonvi, Silver, Magnus, Jacovitti, Cinzia Leone, Disegni & Caviglia, Silvia Ziche; YY-BB. Yi Yang – Benxi /Bologna, the exhibition of Yi Yang, the very young but already successful author who, thanks to a very personal drawing style that mixes the tradition of manga with European taste, is conquering the Italian Comics with works such as Easy Breezy or the Dylan Dog Color Fest. In addition, the usual exhibition of the winner of the Bartoli Award, this year in the name of Lorenzo Mò, and that of Self ARF! with the visionary works of Davide Bart. Salvemini and his colourful creative universe.
Among the sections of the Festival we will find the area dedicated to professional opportunities, the Job ARF!, a space where you can show editors and publishing houses your portfolio with ideas, projects and creativity. The Self ARF! 2022, the independent area (as always free of charge) that will present the best 30 realities of self-publishing and micro-publishing of Italian Comics, this year will have a new look thanks to the exclusive setting up in the central “square” of Campo Boario.
