INK 25. A symphonic journey into the imagination of Federico Fellini, directed by the composition students of the Saint Louis College of Music.
RUFA takes center stage in a collective tribute to Fellini’s imaginative world, brought to life in a special evening that weaves together cinema, music, dance, and fashion. INK25 returns to the “Ennio Morricone” Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome with an even richer edition, part of the Grand Tour AFAM Project (Official Website), of which Saint Louis is a partner, in collaboration with RUFA (project leader), STM: Scuola del Teatro Musicale, and AI – Accademia Italiana.
Taking the spotlight are 17 student composers of film music from the academic programs in Composition and Film Scoring at Saint Louis, who will conduct a symphony orchestra performing their original works inspired by Fellini’s dreamlike universe, together with M° Gianluca Podio and M° Adriano Melchiorre. Their compositions will give voice and breath to 17 short films created by RUFA students, projected during the event for a truly immersive experience.
Enhancing the journey into the legendary director’s imagination, dancers from STM will immediately draw the audience into a Felliniesque atmosphere, aided by costumes and makeup curated by students from Accademia Italiana, bringing to life the cinematic iconography of the five-time Oscar winner.
The entire event will be documented through a photographic reportage by the Fashion & Costume and Photography teams from Accademia Italiana, capturing behind-the-scenes moments and on-stage highlights to encapsulate the essence of this artistic fusion.
The appointment with INK 25 is set for Saturday, May 24 at the “Ennio Morricone” Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome—an invitation to be transported by the magic of music, visuals, and creativity in a choral tribute to the genius of Federico Fellini.
