Normal for Whom? – Scholarship Contest

Who decides what is normal?

RUFA promotes the third edition of the High School Contest, with the scholarship “Normal for whom? Express your uniqueness”, an invitation addressed to final-year high school students to challenge themselves through creativity.

Following the success of previous editions (Toxic Love, Sbagli di Successo), the contest returns with a new challenge: to explore and question the concept of normality. Every day, we are surrounded by models, expectations and standards that influence the way we are and how we express ourselves. But what happens when these models do not represent us?

RUFA invites participants to reflect on identity, social pressure and freedom of expression, shaping an artistic project capable of expressing what it means, today, to be authentic.

There is no single answer. There is your point of view.

Prize

The contest offers a scholarship worth €5,000, which can be used towards enrolment in a First Level Academic Course at RUFA.
The best projects will also gain visibility through official channels and will be presented during the final event.

Participation requirements

– Be regularly enrolled in the final year of an Italian high school;
– Register via the dedicated form by 21 May 2026;
– Upload your project in digital format on the platform indicated in the confirmation email;

Theme and types of works

The contest invites participants to explore and question the concept of normality:
• Does normality really exist?
• Who defines it?
• How much does it influence our choices, our bodies, our desires?
• What does it mean to be yourself today?

The works may belong to the following categories:
• Artistic installations
• Illustrations, posters or visual designs
• Videos or short documentaries
• Social media campaigns
• Artistic or interactive performances

Each project must be accompanied by a short description (max. 1,200 characters).
It will be necessary, at the time of submitting your project, to download and complete THIS RELEASE FORM and upload it signed in the required field.

Final event and award ceremony

The contest will conclude with a final event on 28 May 2026 at 6:00 pm, at RUFA’s premises in Via Giuseppe Libetta (Room G13, Rome).
During the event, the selected projects will be presented and the scholarship will be awarded. Special guest Giulio Xhaet, Partner and Head of Communication at Newton Group, content creator and LinkedIn Top Voice on the future of work, will deliver a talk focused on uniqueness and identity building, offering insights into the evolving world of work and the value of personal expression in today’s society.
