The RUFA Talk series welcomes a not-to-be-missed event with Mirko Perri, sound designer and audio post-production supervisor, one of the most prominent figures in the Italian film industry. A unique opportunity for RUFA students to engage, exchange and be inspired, exploring the sonic language of cinema through the lens and experience of a renowned professional.

During the talk, Perri will guide a historical and critical reflection on the grammar of cinematic sound, analysing the evolution of sound in film and its aesthetic and expressive role within the medium.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1978, Mirko Perri is co-founder of the InHouse studio in Rome and has worked for years as a sound designer and audio supervisor. He has collaborated with acclaimed directors such as Paolo Sorrentino, Matteo Garrone, Matteo Rovere, Gabriele Mainetti, and Sydney Sibilia, shaping the soundscapes of some of the most iconic works in contemporary Italian cinema.

His most notable works include: Parthenope, La città proibita, The Hand of God, Freaks Out, Io Capitano, The Great Beauty, Dogman, The First King, Italian Race, I Can Quit Whenever I Want.

Winner of four David di Donatello awards for Best Sound (Italian Race, Dogman, The First King, Io Capitano), he has received a total of eight nominations for the same category.
