Final evening of “50h in Barca”: screenings and awards on July 18 in Bologna.
On Friday, July 18, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM, Piazza Giovanni XXIII in the Barca district of Bologna will host the final evening of “50h in Barca”, an open-air cinema event featuring the screening of 9 finalist short films and the awarding of prizes by a jury of industry professionals.
Now in its third edition, 50h in Barca is a format created by Sayonara Film that combines cinematic creativity with community engagement. This year, 25 film crews — for a total of over 200 participants from Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, and Marche — created original short films in just 50 hours, all set in the neighborhood and involving local residents, spaces, and stories.
The initiative is part of the Bologna Estate 2025 programme and offers a unique opportunity to experience cinema as a collective and participatory event, capable of telling the story of a place while strengthening community ties.
