Daniela Candeloro is a researcher and academic with a PhD cum laude in Fashion Studies, whose interdisciplinary approach to fashion studies embraces art, culture, history, economics, and exhibition design.
Her background in Fashion Business & Costume Design, Strategic Marketing, and Art History, along with specializations in Haute Couture, allows her to offer a broad and multidimensional perspective on the complexity of the sector. She has experience in both teaching and research at institutions such as Accord University (a member of UN Academic Impact), Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici, and Sapienza University.
This academic background is complemented by professional experience in both the cultural and industrial fields of fashion: notably, collaborating scientifically at the Vatican Museums (Ethnological Museum section), designing costumes for theatrical productions, and managing sales roles. Dr. Candeloro is dedicated to bridging the gap between theory and practice, promoting a critical understanding of fashion’s interconnections with social, political, and economic dimensions, with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Her commitment to training new generations of scholars actively contributes to the field.
