RUFA for the 6ARTISTA Programme

RUFA takes part in the sixth edition of 6ARTISTA: six selected Alumni join the residency programme at Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.

In 2025, the sixth edition of 6ARTISTA gets underway. The residency programme, conceived by Marcello Smarrelli for the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, is carried out this year in collaboration with RUFA, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and SIAE, as part of the Per Chi Crea programme.

The project 6ARTISTA. Project for Young Artists 2025–2026 offers six emerging artists, all RUFA Alumni, the opportunity to develop their research through a three-month residency at the spaces of the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, in the heart of the San Lorenzo district in Rome.
The artists selected for this edition are the RUFA Alumni: Vanshika Agrawal, Emma Brunelli, Micol Gelsi, Davide Miceli, Giulia Romolo and Nadia Vallino.

The programme unfolds over a period of twelve months, during which two artists at a time share a studio within the historic Pastificio Cerere building, encouraging dialogue, collaboration and professional growth. At the end of the programme, scheduled for February 2026, the works produced will be presented in a group exhibition curated by Davide Lunerti and Marcello Smarrelli, hosted in the Foundation’s new spaces.

During the residency, the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere and RUFA, under the supervision of tutors Marta Jovanović (artist) and Fabrizio Pizzuto (art historian), will promote a structured programme of training activities, meetings, studio visits and opportunities for dialogue with professionals from the sector – critics, curators, journalists and representatives of cultural institutions. The selected artists will also have free access to seminars and workshops delivered by RUFA.

Within the programme, the residency featuring Nadia Vallino and Vanshika Agrawal, RUFA graduates, has recently come to an end, following an intense period of research and production. The programme now continues with the start of the new residency of Davide Miceli and Emma Brunelli, who will enter the Pastificio Cerere spaces to develop their respective artistic projects.

The collaboration between RUFA and the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere is rooted in a structured and ongoing partnership, further strengthened by the shared location: a physical and conceptual proximity that fosters continuous dialogue between education, research and artistic production, and represents a distinctive element of the RUFA educational experience.

Keep following the project to learn more about the upcoming residency phases and discover the final exhibition, which will bring together the works created by the participating artists
