6ARTISTA. PROJECT FOR YOUNG ARTISTS 2026–2027” – VII EDITION

Following the success of the previous edition, which involved six RUFA artists, the Call “6ARTISTA. Project for Young Artists 2026–2027” returns. The initiative is promoted by Fondazione Pastificio Cerere in collaboration with RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts and NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, with the aim of supporting the professional growth of new talents and promoting contemporary Italian art.
The VII edition of the Prize, established in 2009, is carried out with the support of MiC and SIAE, within the framework of the programme “Per Chi Crea”.

Prize

The 6ARTISTA prize aims to select six emerging artists under the age of 35, offering them the opportunity to develop their artistic research. Each selected artist will have access to a shared studio for 75 days at Pastificio Cerere and will be able to exhibit their works in the final exhibition of the residency, hosted in the exhibition spaces of Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.
Objectives:

The aim of the project is to:
• Encourage the training of young artists through dialogue with different cultural fields and artistic languages;
• Recall the historical identity of the former Pastificio Cerere, offering an environment in which young artists can develop their path through dialogue with the historical residents;
• Develop an exhibition project as an integral part of the artist residency;
• Enrich participants’ professional network with critics, curators, gallerists and industry experts.

The prize is open to students enrolled at ABARoma, NABA and RUFA, as well as former students who graduated from visual arts degree programmes from 2020 onwards.
The competition is addressed to artists under the age of 35 (meaning individuals who have not yet turned 36 by the deadline of Call 3 – Professionalisation of Artists within the programme “Per Chi Crea” Edition 2025, namely 30.10.2025), residing in Italy (including individuals without Italian citizenship) or residing abroad but holding Italian citizenship.
