Opening on Friday 5 June 2026 at Galleria Corsini, the exhibition Prospettive – Photographing Palazzo Corsini, curated by Giorgio Di Noto and Alessandro Cosma, presents the outcomes of the photographic documentation work carried out by RUFA Photography and Audiovisual students in the spaces of Palazzo Corsini.
The Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei opened the spaces of Palazzo Corsini to RUFA students, fostering a collaboration that brings together different approaches: one linked to the need for the technical and methodological rigour required by commissioned photographic work for cultural heritage, and a more experimental and authorial one.
The students thus worked in the spaces of Galleria Corsini and the historic Library of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei e Corsiniana, allowing a representation of the photographed places to emerge that is at once precise, evocative, and marked by an original and personal gaze.
The exhibition is accompanied by the volume of the same name, published by the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione (ICCD), which offers a rich and comprehensive account of the work produced and forms part of a multi-year commissioned photography project in which a RUFA class, in collaboration with ICCD, works on the photographic documentation of a museum or cultural institution.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 5 June to 4 October 2026, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and is included in the ticket price
For RUFA, Palazzo Corsini represents the third stage in a photographic research journey that began with Galleria Spada and continued with the Baths of Diocletian, thanks to the established collaboration between the RUFA School of Photography and Audiovisual and ICCD.
A layered journey, in which historical events, art, and architecture are inextricably linked. Through the perspectives of synchrony and diachrony, the photographic study offers a static and systematic view of the elements while, at the same time, capturing their dynamic and mutable nature along the axis of time.
