Emilio Lecce

Comic artist, illustrator and colorist, born in Rome in 1983. He starts working in comics in 2006 with small works for Edizioni Bd, Cut-up publishing, Tunué, Comics Provider and in ads for Sky, Studio Universal, FIGC, Ministero delle politiche agricole, Ferrari Spa, Scar Film and Ministero dei trasporti. In the following years he works in Italy for Aurea editoriale (Galaxy Lion, Garibaldi), Editoriale Cosmo (Le nebbie di Caporetto), Panini comics (Il ragazzo invisibile), TIWI (We Race comic: Ferrari, Tintoretto: un ribelle a Venezia), Tunué (7 Crimini), Sergio Bonelli editore (Attica). In the US he works for IDW Publishing (DRIVE, G.I. JOE), BOOM Studios (Sons of Anarchy); he works on Space junkies for the indian market and on Ash airways for the irish market. He is one of the founder members of the Skeleton Monster collective, which promotes several events in Italy and produces indipendent comics and magazines (WRONG, Inchiostrato non mescolato). With Round Robin editrice he is the artist for the “e lui che mi sorride”, which wins the Siani award in 2011 and Bulletproof Diaries: Afghanistan, written by reporter Barbara Schiavulli. Both books got a new edition by PaperFirst in 2020. In the Illustration industry he worked with Regione Lazio (Festa del Cinema di Roma) and Rizzoli Libri (Lercio). Since 2020 he teaches comics classes.
