The RUFA Talk series continues at the RUFA Milan campus with a new event dedicated to the relationship between creativity, large-scale events, and visual design. The meeting, titled “Wonder Ceremony. The Olympic Ceremony: the Greatest Ceremony in the World”, will offer an in-depth look at the design and creative construction of Olympic ceremonies.
What is the design of an Olympic ceremony? How can the vision of a country and a city be condensed into three hours, while maintaining the focus on the sporting aspect and making everything visible and tangible both for the audience in the stadium and for the global connected audience? The talk will explore these questions in light of the recent opening of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, offering an insider’s perspective on one of the most complex and spectacular live entertainment productions at an international level.
The guest of the meeting will be Francesca Martinazzo, an image and creativity professional based in Milan. She currently works as Senior Art Director / Creative Studio Manager at Balich Wonder Studio, an international company specializing in the creation and production of large-scale events and live entertainment, from Olympic ceremonies to FIFA World Cup events.
Throughout her career, she has worked as an Art Director in several agencies and creative studios, contributing to the development of visual concepts for cross-media and live projects. Her artistic background, combined with hands-on professional experience, has allowed her to develop a strong aesthetic vision and a remarkable ability to coordinate creative teams in complex and dynamic environments.
The meeting represents an opportunity for students and young creatives to explore the creative and production processes behind the design of major international events, investigating the connections between design, performance, and visual storytelling on a global scale.
Registration for the talk will open on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The Talks are open to all RUFA students. To register, access the RUFA Career System with your credentials.
