Meeting with Calabria Film Commission Foundation

Last Wednesday, November 23, the President of the Calabria Film Commission Foundation Anton Giulio Grande was our guest at the Academy to attend the screening of some short films made by RUFA students and graduates, and consider developing them as part of a project funded by the Foundation.
The short films screened, the result of a careful selection, we “Il volto di Capgras” by Nicole Turi, “Fake” by Andrea Pedio Cicala, “Una goccia – Hanno tutti ragione e alla fine la ragione si perde” by Andrea Manna, “Il Mio Vecchio” by Sofia Arciero, “In fondo al mare” by Giacomo Raffaeli, and “Farfalle nello stomaco” by Alice Ambrogi.
The screening – attended by the Cinema and Production classes-was followed by an enriching debate between the young authors and the President, where the filmmakers had the opportunity to deepen and present their project, and directly confront a structured reality whose primary goal is to benefit and support the audiovisual sector and a new generation of Italian authors.

Calabria Film Commission Foundation

The Calabria Film Commission was established in 2006 with the aim of encouraging and stimulating the development of the film industry in Calabria. The foundation aims to support companies operating in the sector and promote them through the dissemination of audiovisual material throughout the country. In addition, support is guaranteed to productions through on-site assistance (location scouting, consultation of professional databases, casting service and assistance in finding hospitality for crew stays) and productions that intend to shoot in the Calabrian territory are also favored through agreements and conventions that provide economic support based on the relevance of the initiative.
