RUFA and Intorno Design are proud to announce that the RUFA Annual Report 2022 has won the Gold Award at the European Design Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the field of visual design. A project that has bravely and innovatively told the growth and transformation of the Academy.
The award was presented in Ljubljana on June 7, 2025, during a ceremony that saw the participation of an international community of designers, studios, and visual communication professionals from all over Europe. This achievement is the result of a collective process, based on dialogue, listening, and attention to detail. We share it with those who have worked alongside us and with those who continue to believe in the value of conscious design.
From June 5 to 8, the European Design Festival 2025 is curated by the Brumen Foundation, organizer of the Slovenian Design Biennale. The festival offers a rich program of events and provides a unique opportunity for creative exchange and the sharing of ideas and experiences. During these days, the city becomes a hub for exploring the latest trends and innovations in the design world, fostering a stimulating dialogue between professionals and design enthusiasts.

The winning project: «RUFA—AR22»
In 2022, the Academy underwent a significant transformation, acquiring a new and large headquarters, expanding its presence in Rome and Milan, and welcoming an increasing number of international students and courses. The Annual Report 2022 was thus conceived as a volume dedicated to self-analysis. Where are we? Who are we? How many of us and in what roles? How far have we come? How do we interpret creativity today? And society? Where are we going?
Photography, illustration, and typography thus became tools of inquiry and exploration.
