Gaetano Castelli

Gaetano Castelli, together with his team of experts, is internationally known for his ability to quickly conceive design in the fields of television, theater and film sets, interior spaces, art exhibitions and installations that meet the needs of a market that is global and in constant evolution. Castelli began his career in 1964 with RAI-TV and is considered the leader in Italy as a ‘set designer’ and an innovator in the use of lighting. In addition to a variety shows, he has worked in every conceivable genre of programming: news, talk shows, comedies and fiction, and with the biggest names in international entertainment, including Luciano Pavarotti, Roberto Benigni, Sofia Loren, Tina Turner, Duran Duran , and Liza Minelli. He has also distinguished himself in the field of cabaret design and is currently the art director of Moulin Rouge in Paris. After more than thirty years of teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, in 2004 he was appointed Director by the Minister of Education “for clear fame”. Gaetano Castelli is the recipient of important international awards for his design, including the prestigious Gold and Silver Rose Awards at the International Television Festival Award in Montreux, Switzerland. Currently he holds conferences and debates on set design in the most important countries of the world (China, Iran, England, Albania), putting his experience and his art at the service of all.
