Painting ❯ ENG

This new Fine Arts Master Course arises from the need to consolidate the important relationship between the classic and the innovative that, for twenty years, has been the core of the RUFA Fine Art program.
The international profile of the course includes a culturally diverse working community.
In this course you will continually engage with what it means to practise as an artist today, testing and challenging your individual practice, in relation to art history and its contemporary vision in wider cultural and social systems.
This course will introduce you into a contemporary critical context starting from an important Italian artistic tradition.
In order to investigate the art disciplines with an extensive approach, a full immersion week with international artists is planned monthly. Six experiences, every teaching year, are designed to strengthen self-reflection, ambition and motivation of your practice and your leading ideas.
A specific lecture programme is designed to approach in a wider way your learning of references relating to contemporary art.

Designed by Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) tutor Umberto Giovannini.

You will embark on an innovative, mixed media, cutting-edge, transverse educational pathway which will mould you into a complete artist capable of expressing your own creative language in any artistic discipline.

Painters, complete and multidisciplinary artists.

Painting is an artistic discipline that permits the combining of passion and profession into a unique career and life choice. Studying Painting at RUFA, the student receives high-level multidisciplinary academic training and a full understanding of the techniques and qualities relative to the world of Fine Arts.

Painting as part of a network of knowledge.

The two-year Master of Arts Degree Program in Painting at RUFA is a degree that provides a solid foundation in theory and practice, designed to place students at the center of a substantial network of knowledge and multimedia experience, that will form a complete artist, able to apply creative expression in any of the artistic disciplines.
In order to achieve this, the course of study lends importance to the history and early influences that contribute to the origins of painting, exploring and analyzing the fundamentals such as the techniques and technology of painting, the sociology of contemporary art, the history of new media, phenomenology of art and the imagination, and digital application of the visual arts.
Painting students at RUFA will find themselves on an innovational multimedia voyage, which is up-to-date and multi-purposed and will transform them into complete and well-versed artists.

Technique and technology to create talented painters.

Digital applications used in visual arts, photography, new media: these are some of the multimedia areas that will be examined in the RUFA Painting Degree, a course that blends technology and talent and allows students to reach a high-level of academic know-how, essential for applying substance and authority to ones own artistic expression.
