RUFA and Anffas Macerata: a collaboration between art and solidarity

Not a simple calendar, but a wide-ranging artistic project that turns its attention to the concept of social inclusion. Thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Macerata section of Anffas (National Association of families of people with intellectual and/or relational disabilities) and the Rome University of Fine Arts, first year graphic design students will be called to participate in a very special contest aimed at identifying the idea that best describes the aims of the association to be included in what will be the 2019 lunario. The draft project, according to the announcement, must be realized within the month of July. The student, or group of students, who will win the contest will receive a prize worth 500 euros. The award is made available by Anffas Macerata. But that’s not all: the winner, in fact, is guaranteed an internship to be carried out at the studio “Grafò Comunicazione Visiva” in Rome that will take care of the preparation phase for the production. All the works presented will be exhibited in the Anffas headquarters and in other locations in the Marche region.

The partnership was signed in recent days by Marco Scarponi, president of Anffas Macerata, and director Rufa Fabio Mongelli. The ceremony, sober and minimalist, was also attended by the teacher Claudia Illuzzi who will guide the students in the declination of the proposal. “It is part of our didactic activity – explains Illuzzi herself – to realize a project with a real client and it is a pleasure to realize it with the Anffas Macerata representatives, because the students will have the opportunity to create a product with an important solidarity message”. “When creativity connects to the social – says Fabio Mongelli – the final result is already positive in itself. So I can only welcome this project, in the knowledge that Rufa students will have the opportunity to reflect, receiving stimuli and producing suitable and adequate contents”.
“Anffas – explains Mario Scarponi – is an association run by relatives of people with intellectual and relational disabilities, non-profit organization that pursues exclusively social solidarity in the field of social and sociomedical assistance. This calendar will open to new ways of information”.
