F as Frigolandia – The land of Frigidaire

The program #OfficineRufa continues its appointments proposing a meeting with Vincenzo Sparagna around the word Frigolandia. What is the Republic of Frigolandia? How do you build and how does a fake work? Is there a Maivist art? From Il Male to Frigidaire, passing through Stefano Tamburini and Andrea Pazienza, the incredible story of how art and communication can be revolutionized, told by a protagonist of satire, comics and contemporary art. The meeting will be accompanied by a projection of images curated by Maila Navarra, designer, graphic designer and coordinator of the magazine Frigidaire and Frigolandia, and moderated by Nicolas Martino and Enrico Parisio.

Vincenzo Sparagna, a Neapolitan nomad with a Minturnese father, a graduate and professional journalist/revolutionary, has been one of the protagonists of the adventure of Il Male since 1978. In 1980 he founded, together with Stefano Tamburini, Andrea Pazienza, Tanino Liberatore, Filippo Scòzzari and Massimo Mattioli, the magazine Frigidaire, of which he has been the editor since the first issue. Recently he founded the Republic of Frigolandia in Giano dell’Umbria.
