From September 2020, in compliance with the national regulations, RUFA will adopt the organizational process imposed for Phase 3 for Art Higher Education Institutions and Universities.
Below there are the details and lesson attendance solutions, as well as the regulations for the exams, thesis sessions, the procedures to access the buildings and laboratories and the regulations to carry out internships and extracurricular activities.
The Academy has organized a blended attendance mode (alternating attendance in the classroom and online) for the theoretical and theoretical-practical lessons, starting from the first semester of the AY 2020/2021.
The lessons in the classrooms will be organized in shifts, so to comply with the restrictions related to the maximum number of students per classrooms, that are indicated by the current regulations (a maximum of 12 students per classroom).
The shifts will be organized in groups of 8/12 students selected in alphabetical order, taking into account the actual needs and logistics. Each group will alternate their weekly attendance in the classroom. The students of the other groups, that will not be present during a specific week, will attend the lessons live online.
Some purely theoretical classes that are taught in various study courses will only be offered remotely, considering the large number of students who would need to participate.
The lessons will start on the 2nd of November 2020. Further information regarding the lessons and the timetable of each lesson will be available in October on the unirufa.it website.
Students with disabilities and students with specific learning disabilities who require support to attend in the classroom can contact the dedicated desk by writing to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of the lessons scheduled for the first semester of the AY 2020/2021, regardless of the year of the course, are taught by the lecturers in the classroom, and can be attended by students in the classroom (consistent with the necessary safety measures), and live online (except for the courses that must be attended in class).
All students who are unable to attend in class, including foreign students and non-resident students, may ask to attend the lessons online. The requests will be evaluated by the competent Academic Offices.
The recordings of the lessons and any other materials that may be useful for the students’ learning purposes can subsequently be made available, if possible in term of storage capacity and the requirements to manage the activity, after receiving a motivated request that proves the necessity for them.
The Academy has equipped with multimedia devices all the physical classrooms available for the reference courses.
All of the academic environments have been equipped with SHU systems to sanitize surfaces and the environment. The technology used is state-of-the-art and is based on the production of a layer of oxidizers that sanitize surfaces and air while eliminating polluters by destroying germs through the light of the UVC germicidal lamp.
The organization related to the accesses to the classrooms will ensure that all of the students have the possibility of enjoying a period of lessons- as much as possible – in the classroom, especially beginners.
The academic calendar will be optimized so as to provide students with an ongoing and non-fragmented period of presence in the classroom within a same day, and will limit as much as possible the movements of students between classrooms / locations that are distant from each other.
Starting already from Phase 2, the exams are taken both remotely and in presence.
The thesis sessions are held in presence. Each graduate may invite up to a maximum of 5 people to attend his/her thesis defence.
RUFA students will have access to the Academy’s spaces (classrooms, laboratories, studios, etc.) by making a reservation through the email address: email@example.com. The students office, based on the reservations received, will confirm the booking and will invite the student to register at the front office before entering the premises, and to comply with the Covid-19 safety regulations.
RUFA students will also have access to the laboratories, an essential part of their practical training. Access will be restricted and will be possible even in small groups of maximum 5/6 people (RUFALab 2 students simultaneously), depending on the size of the laboratory.
Access to the Library will also be limited. For consultations/study a maximum of 3 students will be allowed to be there at the same time. The desks must be booked by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To speak with RUFA offices students must make a booking with the office itself. The email addresses of the Offices can be found on the Contacts page.
From July 2020, unless otherwise specified, it is possible to:
– begin new curricular internships in a distance or blended mode (alternating distance and presence);
– foresee, as part of internships already implemented and suspended or carried out remotely, an integration between distance training activities and activities carried out at host Institution/company (blended mode);
– continue the curricular internships in a remote mode.
Starting from October 2020, students will be able to organize exhibitions at the Academy, through the standard application procedures, while respecting the Covid-19 safety regulations.
More specifically, students will be able to submit proposals for events/exhibitions to the Academy Offices through the dedicated online form. If the proposal is accepted, they will work with the Communication and Events Office for the organization.
Events can be attended by a maximum of 12 people at the same time (students, visitors and curators included) and there will be no opening or closing activities that attract too many people at the same time. The Communication Office will analyse with each student digital solutions to attend the exhibitions/events.
The talks organized by the Academy, that could not be attend in person since last March, have continued since last April online through Live Talks on the Instagram @rufa_university channel, also accessible through IGTV.
During the first semester of the AY 2020/2021 RUFA will organize talks which will be digital. The specific modalities will be communicated to the members when the participation is confirmed.
Talks in presence will start up again during the second semester of the AY 2020/2021.
