Kean University students in RUFA!

A valuable opportunity for exchange between two international Universities: on Monday 17 April RUFA hosted students from Kean University – directly from New Jersey, USA – at the Academy to engage them in a Letterpress Workshop organised by lecturers Mario Rullo and Maria Pina Bentivenga.

Kean University students – guided by Matteo Bologna, Kean University and SVA School of Visual Arts Associate Professor – participated in the international workshop Typologia at the RUFA Pastificio Cerere, curated by lecturers Maria Pina Bentivenga and Mario Rullo.
The eternal magic of Letterpress meets the printmaking techniques, in a path of research and experimentation of communication languages, able to connect typographic tradition and innovation. The revival of movable type composition becomes the link between the history of graphic design and contemporary visual design, allowing young US designers to experiment with new creative and compositional methodologies.
