Sabrina Marchionne, RUFA graduate in Photography, was nominated among the emerging talents through the Fresh Eyes International 2023 competition, with the project “Bring us the Bright”.
Sabrina Marchionne’s work will appear in the next issue of Fresh Eyes 2023, a photographic catalogue published by GUP magazine (Guide to Unique Photography) and distributed internationally.
In particular, with her project ‘Bring us the Bright’ Sabrina won over the jury and was nominated among the talents in the ‘Conceptual’ category. The volume collecting her work will be presented from 21 to 24 September 2023 in Amsterdam during the photo fair Haute Photographie.
“Bring us the Bright” is a research work that takes Catholic behavioural morality as its starting point to investigate how it influences the expression of sexuality and individual freedom.
From 2019, FRESH EYES celebrates the best photography talent in Europe. It is a guide featuring the 100 best emerging image makers the continent has to offer. This year, for the first time, the call was aimed at photographers from all over the world.
Produced by GUP Magazine, FRESH EYES brings talent to the attention of galleries, museums, commercial and photographic agencies and institutions that work with images.
Each year a jury of experts selects a group of emerging artists from different backgrounds – including freshly graduated photography students and self-taught photographers – in order to offer an interesting and varied perspective on the state of affairs in contemporary photography today, through the eyes of an exciting new generation of photographers.
