BrandinBarcelona. Boost Your Creativity!

BrandinBarcelona: Graphic Design students set to embark on a new creative journey.

RUFA continues to invest in international learning experiences, offering its students the opportunity to engage directly with the most dynamic contexts of contemporary creativity.

It is within this framework that BrandinBarcelona takes shape — a study trip taking place from 13 to 19 April 2026, involving third-year Graphic Design students, together with a third-year Comics and Illustration student, all ready to embark on a new immersion in the international design scene.

Barcelona is visual energy, rhythm, colour. A quintessential Mediterranean city, it is a crossroads of cultures, languages and experimentation, where graphic design becomes a living expression of urban space. Here, design is not just about projects: it is identity, collective storytelling, and a continuous dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.

From the organic forms of modernist architecture to the bold compositions of contemporary graphic design, Barcelona has built a unique visual identity, recognisable for its vibrant, dynamic and deeply chromatic nature.
Spanish graphic design stands out for being direct, accessible and at the same time experimental: a design culture that originates in the streets and develops through studios, independent spaces and festivals.

Through talks, workshops, masterclasses and visits to studios and exhibition spaces, the trip will offer students not only tools and references, but also new perspectives.
Because designing also means allowing oneself to be influenced by ideas, absorbing inspirations and exploring unexpected directions.

During the trip, students will also take part in the OFFF Festival, an international benchmark for contemporary creativity, where designers and studios from around the world meet to share visions, experimentations and new languages.

The creative journey BrandinBarcelona has been conceived and coordinated by lecturer Agnese Angelini for third-year Graphic Design students, under the guidance of lecturers Paolo Bonaiuto and Francesco Incantalupo.

Together, they will explore Barcelona as an open-air laboratory, where graphic design becomes a daily experience and design emerges as a living practice, capable of combining intuition, courage and vision.

BrandinBarcelona is part of a broader series of international experiences that have enriched RUFA’s educational offer over the years, through study trips that have allowed students to engage with creative and professional environments in cities such as London, New York, Amsterdam, Zurich and Paris.

Following previous editions — BrandinLondon, BrandinAmsterdam and BrandinZurich — this new edition once again confirms the importance of direct engagement with the international landscape as an integral part of the educational journey.

Participants include: Ellis Schilling, Elisa Crispolti, Sofia Iadeluca, Emma Grimaldi, Lavinia Macone, Alexander Cocchini, Valerio Napoleoni, Cecilia Patrizia Fumanti, Giorgia De Simoni, Martina Andreis, Angelica Cavicchioli, Michele Pietrolucci, Alessandra Mangiapelo, Azzurra Seresini, Enrico Maiorino.
