Doppelgänger, the social actor in the broken mirror of the director

A documentary about Dario Pasquarella, a deaf director and actor born in a village near Benevento from a peasant family. After a few years of particularly difficult isolation, his parents discover the existence of an institution for the deaf where Dario learned sign language and made new friends. The great depth of mind and the imagination that characterize Dario made him understand that theater would have been his world. For this reason in 2016 he founded the Arti & Mani association to create shows that can be enjoyed also by people who are deaf, unlike what used to happen before.

This short film is an immersion in a different reality and an exploration of the difficulties and of the potential of the documentary.
