The most important theme in my work is the memory, what goes away and what never goes away. They are simple, intimate, personal memories; they tell about common experiences and moods. By giving a form to my intimate reality I want to tell the emotional reality of everyone. My painting is often fast, moved by an inner process that demands a rapidity in fixing the image. The subjects are landscapes and people, but they can also be everyday objects. I imagine painting as a portrait of what surrounds us, an inner and outer reality, made up of what we live and have lived.
