Since 1992 he has been involved in experimental animation cinema; his works arethe result of the combination of different techniques and languages. They are all experimental and halfway between abstract and referential and are soon noticed by critics and selected in important festivals in Italy and abroad (Venice, Rome, Locarno, Montreal, Paris, Zagreb, Casablanca, Shanghai, Beijing, Milan, Naples, Palermo). His animations have been aired multiple times by Blob. In 1994 he created the virtual sets of the L’angelo program for Fininvest. At the opening of the program, the works of the masters of animation Giulio Gianini and Emanuele Luzzati will be presented, which will be commented by Carrano himself in an ideal bridge between past and present.
